About Me
My name is Amy Lay and I am a recent graduate from Azusa Pacific University School of Nursing. I graduated December 16th of 2017 and am pursuing a career as a Registered Nurse in Southern California. I am excited to finally join the team of health care professionals and bring patients care as my job! When I am not nursing I am often at church, hanging out with friends and family, or enjoying a good TV series. My hobbies include trying new foods, traveling to different countries, and exploring the beauty of God's creation.
I love meeting new people, building relationships, and being able to serve those I come in contact with. I believe in making every person feel loved, cared for, and welcomed, and strive to protect the dignity, integrity, and respect of each person I meet. Through nursing, I can accomplish these things for people at their most vulnerable moments. Just as Jesus humbled himself by washing his disciples' feet, I desire to touch the lives of those around me by showing God's love and striving for excellence in order to provide the highest quality of care to every person.

Experience Abroad
What makes me unique is my international experience abroad. I not only have the travel bug and love meeting others from other cultures and backgrounds, but I also have a huge heart for serving those in need, and helping meet the needs of those in less fortunate circumstances. I have an interest in medicine and different definitions of wellness and healing, as it pertains to each country. I also believe that familiarizing myself with these vast opinions of health allow me to become a more culturally sensitive, globally effective nurse, for patients of diverse backgrounds.
CHINA
My friend and I (on the left) were given the opportunity to participate in multiple open heart CABG surgeries! Here we are trying to contain our excitement :)
Here we are letting loose and goofing off before we have to act professional again.
